“I think I’d rather just watch for now.”
(RP Blog)
Shae Lynn McFarlane. Slytherin House.
Born to a Muggle mother and a Wizard, Shae is a fifth year at Hogwarts and taking all of her classes in with a laid-back air about her. Despite the known 'stereotypes' of her House, she's quite open about making friends in other Houses as well.
Her favored classes are Care of Magical Creatures, Transfiguration, and Divination. While she fairs well in Charms, she seems to care less for it - and she's absolutely terrible with Potions.
She has a fond love for misunderstood creatures, often found running off to help feed Hogwarts' herd of Thestrals. She also owns a cat that her parents suspect is half-Kneazle. The small black cat watches over her by sitting on her shoulders like a parrot, her huge ears swiveling around at times. Moon, Shea's name for the cat since receiving her as a gift, will also follow her in between classes, hissing at anyone who gives Shae a funny look.

Sometimes when her problems seemed particularly hard to figure out, and her friends or professors didn’t have the right answers, Shae would then visit the Lake Monster. “He” didn’t say anything to her, but there were times when just talking about everything helped.

Shea smiled as she made her way with her Schoolmates through the entrance to Hogsmeade, hugging her bag close to her. Her father had recently sent her a package, an early Christmas gift, that included a bit of money for her to “buy something she liked, since your taste changes so much, I’m not about to offend you with something silly.”
Well that was nice enough of her father, she needed a few new things to wear, especially with the winter months getting so much worse. Her own good friends thought she was crazy to go to Hogsmeade in the outfit she’d chosen, almost certain she would catch a cold, but if she was going to go buy a few new warm things, “Why not wear them out?” Seemed like simple enough logic. Plus, she had a frighteningly high tolerance for the cold.
Really it was only the fall season, leaves had changed color and begun falling to the ground, but even a few snowflakes had fallen by this time to leave a thin blanket across the ground. Her breath was visible as she huffed and separated herself from the gang of Hogwarts students to visit Gladrags Wizardwear. It was the only clothing shop in town (that didn’t include the sportswear at Spintwitches) but surely there’d be something within that held promise.
However, when she grew closer, she’d noticed an interesting sign within the window of the shop’s door. “Out to Lunch! Will Return Soon” Her mouth dropped slightly and a small groan escaped. How soon would soon be?!
